Dr. Christopher R. Mantyh is a board-certified colorectal surgeon with extensive experience in academic and clinical practice. He earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School in 1991, followed by a general surgery residency at Duke University Medical Center and a fellowship in colorectal surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. He also completed advanced leadership training through the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Mantyh is board certified in both general surgery and colorectal surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. He is also an active member of numerous national surgical organizations.


Dr. Mantyh practiced at Duke University Medical Center for more than two decades, where he held multiple leadership roles, including Professor of Surgery, Vice Chief of Clinical Operations, and Chief of Quality for the Department of Surgery. He joined Highlands in 2026, bringing his depth of expertise and commitment to high-quality, patient-centered surgical care.


Dr. Mantyh is originally from Wisconsin and enjoys watching the Packers and Badgers. He and his wife Cindy enjoy hikes, cooking, and traveling. They have grown boys and a very active German Short-Hair pointer. They look forward to exploring more of Northwest Arkansas.
