CLIA certified means

a laboratory has met the federal standards of the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) to ensure the quality and accuracy of patient testing. 
This certification is required for all U.S. laboratories that perform testing on human specimens and is overseen by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Achieving CLIA certification assures patients that the facility adheres to rigorous quality controls and provides reliable, timely results.

For patients, a CLIA certification guarantees that the lab’s testing is held to a high standard for accuracy and reliability, increasing confidence in the results and subsequent medical decisions.

Highlands is here for our community – not just for our cancer patients. We will process and draw lab orders from other physicians.

  • We have nationally certified phlebotomists who will draw your blood

  • We have Arkansas’ only nationally certified phlebotomy instructor

  • We run over 5 million tests a year on-site in our labs.

  • Each day, the Highlands Lab draws blood from about 550 patients across all of our locations

  • If we do not perform a certain test in house, we will find a lab that does and send your blood out for processing for you
