Dr. Anderson recently joined Highlands Oncology as a Radiation Oncologist. A native Arkansan, he is a board-eligible physician who completed his residency training at Emory University’s Winship Cancer Institute in Atlanta, Georgia. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in General Business.

During his time at Emory, Dr. Anderson was extensively involved in clinical research focusing on proton therapy, treatment toxicity, and outcomes in head and neck, hepatobiliary, and central nervous system cancers. He has led or co-authored numerous retrospective studies analyzing radiation treatment approaches and patient outcomes.

A dedicated leader and educator, Dr. Anderson has served on the executive board of Rayos Contra Cancer, a nonprofit organization that works to expand access to radiotherapy in Latin America through education and telehealth. He also held multiple leadership roles at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where he helped organize academic programs and student initiatives related to medicine, ethics, and healthcare delivery.

Dr. Anderson is passionate about combining advanced technology with compassionate, patient-centered care. His clinical interests include proton therapy, sarcoma, and CNS malignancies, with a strong focus on reducing treatment-related toxicity and improving quality of life for his patients.

He and his wife—who is also a physician—are proud to be raising their three children in their home state of Arkansas.
