M. Adam Childs, MD
Surgical Oncologist
Dr. M. Adam Childs is a board-certified urologist with extensive experience in both academic medicine and private practice. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and completed general surgery internship and urology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where he also served as Chief Urology Resident and Instructor in Urology. Dr. Childs is board certified by the American Board of Urology and has advanced training in robotic, laparoscopic, and minimally invasive urologic surgery. He is committed to delivering the highest level of urologic care to his patients with specialty focus on urologic oncology, stone diseases, BPH care and men’s health issues.
Dr. Childs joined Highlands in 2026 after more than 14 years practicing in Northwest Arkansas. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented nationally and internationally on kidney stone disease and minimally invasive urologic surgery. He remains committed to delivering cutting edge urologic care and furthering urologic care through research. Dr. Childs remains an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Urological Association and the Arkansas Urologic Society.
Outside of delivering the highest quality urologic care, Dr. Childs enjoys spending time with his wife and four children at home and while traveling, his wife’s cat collection, and anything he can do outdoors, especially in beautiful Northwest Arkansas.
