Sandy Kinsey stepped into her role as Chief Pharmacy & Procurement Officer at Highlands Oncology Group in March 2024, overseeing pharmacy operations, supply chain management, and strategic drug procurement for the Northwest Arkansas–based cancer care provider. With a robust background spanning retail pharmacy, healthcare consultancy, and executive leadership, Sandy brings a wealth of experience and industry insight to her position.
Her career includes impactful tenures such as Vice President of Pharmacy Merchandising at Walmart—where she drove multi-million‑dollar revenue growth—and Executive Consultant at Walgreens, where she contributed to the development of an innovative healthcare technology platform. Since 2014, she has been also been advising retailers and healthcare organizations on growth strategies, operations, and patient-centric engagement.
In addition to her operations role, Sandy also contributes in governance capacities beyond Highlands Oncology; she currently serves on the boards of Brightli and Burrell Behavioral Health—roles that reflect her commitment to improving community health and behavioral care access.
Sandy holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Missouri–Kansas City and an MBA from Kaplan University, blending clinical expertise with strategic business acumen. Through her leadership, Highlands Oncology continues to enhance pharmacy safety, cost-efficiency, and the availability of cutting-edge treatments for patients.
