A Fayetteville native, Dr. Garner is proud to care for the community that helped shape him. Dr. Garner earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas before pursuing a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), graduating with honors. During his graduate studies, he broadened his global perspective through international coursework and earned a Master of Specialized Economic Analysis and Health Economics from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics. He then received his Doctor of Medicine from UAMS.

He completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and West Cancer Center, where he served as Chief Resident from July 2020 through December 2021. Dr. Garner is a board-certified radiation oncologist committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered cancer care.

The son of a physician, Dr. Garner developed an early appreciation for the profound impact healthcare can have on patients and families. Inspired by both his father’s example and personal experiences with cancer within his own family, he pursued a career in medicine and ultimately found his calling in oncology. He is deeply committed to supporting patients through some of life’s most challenging moments.

Philanthropy and community service are central to Dr. Garner’s values. He is passionate about advancing initiatives that improve access to care and support for individuals in Northwest Arkansas, particularly those facing challenges related to housing, food security, and healthcare needs.

Dr. Garner and his wife, Katy, are grateful to be raising their three children in Northwest Arkansas. As the son of Dr. Hershey Garner, a former radiation oncologist at Highlands Oncology, he is honored to continue a family tradition of service while fulfilling his lifelong goal of caring for patients in his hometown.
