CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP: A safe place to discuss the challenges and stresses of caring for a loved one with cancer. It is an opportunity to receive support, share feelings, and gain insight from other caregivers. Register here. 

Cancer Connection Programs The following programs are designed to connect cancer patients with other individuals that have experienced the same type of cancer and treatment or professionals with a wealth of experience with a particular disease. Simply call one of following programs that apply, and explain your diagnosis and situation. They will review their volunteer registry to find the best possible match, and then have that individual contact you back.

  • NWA MYELOMA SUPPORT GROUP The NWA Myeloma Support Group is for patients, caregivers, family and friends. This group will provide education, support, and the opportunity to share personal experiences. A Hope Cancer Resources social worker will facilitate. This group meets the first Wednesday of every month from 11:00am-12:30pm at Hope Cancer Resources. Lunch will be provided. NWA PEER NETWORK PROSTATE CANCER The Peer Network is a completely private and confidential setting for prostate cancer survivors to get together to discuss prostate cancer-related issues. It meets the 3rd Thursday every month at 6:00-7:30pm at the Washington Regional Cancer Support Home in Fayetteville. For more information, call 479-521-8024.

PROSTATE CANCER Supports men diagnosed with prostate cancer and their partners. This group meets the 4thTuesday every month at Community Church in Bella Vista, 4:00-5:00pm (except November and December). Call 479-855-1126 for information.

NWA YOUNG SURVIVAL COALITION This network is designed for breast cancer survivors diagnosed in their 40’s or younger regardless of your current age. Whether you have just been diagnosed, are still undergoing treatment or are several years out, join us to connect with others. NWA MYELOMA SUPPORT GROUP The NWA Myeloma Support Group is for patients, caregivers, family and friends. This group will provide education, support, and the opportunity to share personal experiences. A Hope Cancer Resources social worker and a 22-year Myeloma survivor will facilitate. This group meets the first Tuesday of every month from 11:30am-1:00pm at Hope Cancer Resources. SUPPORTING STAGE IV: An Online Support Group Hope Cancer Resources welcomes adult patients with a stage IV diagnosis to join their new online support group starting September 9th at 6:30pm. This is a supportive and educational group open to patients of all cancer types. Group members will have the opportunity to share personal experiences and discuss coping tips and strategies.
